My latest read….

bullet The new “Anita Blake” novel came out this week, and I really like it for the most part. I like that Anita and Richard both to seem to have “grown up” not as much personal or inner drama, drama, drama.  I am glad the oh so much worried about “death” in this book didnt turn out to be someone I really love in this series. I have seen several others leave low approval of this book as Anita doesnt do much cop/marshal work, but she did help out as a marashal in a very big way I thought. And I really liked that this time she didnt have a bunch of bigoted male cops or agents to treat her like crap as they always seem to do previously. I especially liked how “love” is the major weapon that is needed to win this new war beginning.

Finished!

Well I finally finished the 4th book in the Twilight Sage this weekend, whew! BUT very worth it. If you are into the occasional vampire and werewolf book, a very touching romance and at least one excellent theme of action if each book, this series is for you!

Anyways, sorry about the rant, the newest book in the “Dark Ones” series by Katie MacAllister came out recently, yaaaaa!!! And I give it a 5star rating!! “In the Company of Vampires” took a little different twist than the usual Dark Ones novels, everyone was one the level about who and what they were, no real learning curve required in this book, which is kind of nice sometimes. Breaks things up, not as repetative as many series tend to be for those who just start with this book, and none of the before explaining things. But don’t worry newbies the main dark one, Ben, did briefly explain “beloved” rules so you wont be completely lost. My favorite thing in this book, other than the love ofcourse,  is the three viking ghost, they...
